Amazon is looking for a detail-oriented professional with customs brokerage experience to manage daily customs clearance activities for ocean, air, rail, and cross-border truck shipments. The role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, resolving shipment issues, and supporting customers throughout the customs clearance process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer onboarding documents and commercial records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit import documentation to regulatory agencies.
  • Perform accurate data entry for customs entries, tariff classifications, and inspection records.
  • Monitor shipment clearance status and resolve customs-related issues with freight forwarders and logistics partners.
  • Generate and track delivery documentation while ensuring compliance requirements are met.
  • Meet performance goals for entry accuracy and submission timelines.
  • Provide second-level support for customer service escalations involving cross-border shipments.
  • Partner with origin and destination logistics teams to resolve shipment issues from start to finish.

Qualifications

  • Experience with accurate data entry and analysis.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and lookup functions.
  • Experience in international logistics, cross-border transportation, supply chain operations, or U.S. Customs regulations.
  • At least 2 years of customs entry writing experience handling complex, high-value shipments.
  • Ability to work a 40-hour workweek and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain, business, or a related field.
  3. Licensed Customs Broker credential.
