Here are 5 ways you can get paid to travel the world.
Let me know what you think, ask me a question, or suggest something I cover in the future in the comments below!
1. Become a Brand Ambassador
At a site like ThirdChannel, you can look up which companies are looking for Brand Ambassadors to represent them.
These jobs are usually part-time and can pay around $15-$20 per hour.
All you do is visit different store locations, collect data, help out with product displays, engage with customers, etc.
Some brands I've seen looking for ambassadors on ThirdChannel include:
- New Balance
2. Work-From-Anywhere Jobs
As you probably know, I cover a lot of work-from-home jobs. Most of these jobs require you to have a home office or be in a particular city, state or country.
But, some companies, like Buffer and InVision, basically let you work from anywhere in the world as long as you're productive.
Buffer is a social media marketing company. You can find their jobs here.
InVision is a digital product design platform. You can look up their jobs here.
3. Become a Social Media Influencer
Another trending way to make money online these days is to become a social media influencer.
Some influencers, like Ben Brown on Instagram, build brands that are centered around their travels.
To get paid, many of these travelers get sponsored posts that are funded by companies related to the travel industry.
You can sign up for a site like iFluenz to get your first sponsors once you have around 10,000 followers or more. Or, you can create a media kit page where companies can see your profile's analytics and contact you about a deal.
4.Teach English Online
These sites let you make your own flexible schedule and get paid around $20 per hour to teach (usually Asian) kids English from your laptop.
They even provide the lesson plans for you to make it easier.
5. Create a Travel Blog or Other Business
Another great way to make money while traveling is to just start some sort of internet-based business.
One example would be to make a travel blog like AdventurousKate.com.
With travel blogs, you can share pictures and your opinions of the places that you visit. To monetize it, you can have ads, affiliate links, prints from your photos, and more.
Other businesses you could do while traveling:
