Included Health is hiring remote Member Care Advocates.

The position starts with a paid 3-week training program and offers a starting contract pay rate of $21.00 per hour. Eligible workers may have the opportunity to transition into a permanent position after approximately 5 months.

This is a fully remote role that requires a secure, distraction-free home office.

Member Care Advocates serve as a primary point of contact for members seeking help with healthcare benefits, provider searches, eligibility questions, and care navigation.

The role involves handling a high volume of inbound calls while providing clear, empathetic support and helping members understand healthcare benefits and available resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Member Support: Answer inbound calls and provide compassionate assistance
  • Benefits Education: Explain deductibles, copays, coinsurance, coverage, and eligibility
  • Provider Search: Help members locate and confirm in-network providers
  • Program Enrollment: Assist members with scheduling and enrollment processes
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve routine questions using established workflows and resources
  • Documentation: Accurately record member interactions and follow-up actions
  • Research: Use internal systems, knowledge bases, and carrier portals to find solutions
  • Quality Service: Maintain high member satisfaction and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of customer service or healthcare experience, OR 5 years of relevant healthcare or benefits navigation experience
  • Customer Service: Strong experience supporting customers in a high-volume environment
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Google Workspace, CRM software, and Apple products
  • Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and follow established workflows
  • Remote Work Skills: Ability to work independently from a secure home office
  • Compliance: Understanding of HIPAA requirements and member confidentiality

Training Requirements

New hires must complete a mandatory 3-week paid training period.

Training Schedule:

• Monday through Friday

• 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST

• No planned time off is permitted during training

Pay

Contract Position:

• $21.00 per hour

Permanent Position Information:

• Included Health notes a new hire rate of $24.10 per hour for expanded responsibilities and permanent team members
