5. Rent Surveyor at Yardi Matrix

At Yardi Matrix, you can get paid to call apartment complexes and gather data.

It's kind of like mystery shopping, but a little different since you are dealing with apartment data.

You will call real estate properties acting as a potential renter and gather information about retail prices in different buildings and complexes.

Their website states that they want shoppers with great phone etiquette.

Yardi Matrix positions are temporary, lasting 6 weeks each.

However, if you are a successful employee you can re-apply for the next cycle and if you are doing well you will most likely be asked to return, saving them from training another newcomer.

According to Yardi Matrix, you can't make less than minimum wage in your state, but you also get a base play plus performance-based incentives for each call.

People on Glassdoor say they averaged around $25/hour.
