1. Surveys

Surveys are still one of the easiest ways to make extra money in your spare time. All you do is answer a few questions and get paid.

I recommend sites like Harris Poll Online, VIP Voice, and InboxDollars to get started.

2. Email rebates

You may want to stop deleting your emails because there is a great service out there that will automatically find price changes from online purchases and give you rebates for the difference.

This service is called Paribus.

3. Real estate investing

If you ever wanted to be a real estate investor but don't have a lot of extra money to invest, try Fundrise. You can invest for as little as $500 while also avoiding many fees that usually come with traditional investing.

There platform also lets you check and see how you property investments are doing whenever you want.

4. Selling stuff you don't want anymore

By selling stuff you no longer use, you kill two birds with one stone by freeing up space as well as making some extra money. There are plenty of sites and apps that help with this now.

For instance, if you want to get rid of old CD's, phones, DVD's, etc., I recommend Decluttr. If you want to get rid of clothes, furniture, or just about anything else, I would recommend an app like Letgo.

5. Reaching fitness goals

If you're trying to be more active, you can get paid for that as well. You can add that to your list of motivational reasons to get healthier which could already include feeling, looking, and performing better.

There are two main websites that pay you to lose weight: DietBet and HealthyWage. With these sites, you basically place a bet on yourself and your weight loss.

If you reach your goal or do a competition and place in one of the top spots, you get part of the pool of money. Some people make as much as a few thousand dollars doing this.

And with HealthyWage, they even have a prize calculator that will help you figure out how much you could potentially make.

6. Shopping online

While shopping online may sound like a way to spend and not make money, sites like Ebates and Dosh will help you earn up to 40% cashback for using the thousands of sites partnered with them.

All you have to do is sign up and maybe get the Ebates Chrome extension to easily get some of your money back from most of your online purchases.

7. Freelancing

Another great way to make money (potentially a full-time income) online without having a boss is freelancing. As far as where to start, a couple of freelance sites that I recommend you look at are Fiverr and Peopleperhour.

Fiverr is especially interesting for freelancing, in my opinion, because you have customers come to you for gigs instead of you constantly trying to show your qualifications for jobs that are posted.

On Fiverr, you as the freelancer decide what services to post on there. You get to set the price, completion time, description of each service, etc. Then, the customers come to you if it fits what they're looking for.

8. Photography

When I mention photography, I'm not saying you need to have expensive equipment and a natural eye for it. In fact, there are apps like Foap and Clashot now that allow amateurs like most of us to make money from photos we took on our phones.

For Foap, you can sell each photo an unlimited number of times for $5 per download. With Clashot, you get to set the price of your photo to sell for up to about $80.

And, if you want to go even further into photography (maybe full-time), you can try more professional sites like Shutterstock.

9. Blogging

There are a lot of ways to make money blogging. You can monetize your content with ads, ebooks, courses, merch, affiliate links, and much more.

This is why some bloggers make 6 or 7 figures per year. But, before you can do any of that stuff you have to create your blog and build an audience.

If you want to start for free and don't care to monetize with ads, you might try publishing articles on Linkedin.

On the other hand, if you want a more professional, customizable blog with your own domain name, I recommend WordPress. Here's a WordPress blog setup tutorial that I did if you need it.

10. Data collection apps

If you want to just make a little side cash without doing any kind of work at all, you might try data collection apps.

All you have to do is install apps like the Nielsen Mobile Panel and MobileXpression on your phone, make sure your account is set up, and start earning.

Once they are set up and working, you don't have to do anything else to earn money from them. They just gather secure data on sites you like to visit and apps you use to add to studies.
