What you'll do:
At Magic Ears, you can get paid up to $26 per hour teaching English online to kids.
You might teach about 4 kids at a time through video chat.
Requirements:
- Have a big smile, a passion for teaching & love for kids
- Speak English at an idiomatic level
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in any subject, or be a student actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree (must provide official transcript)
- Hold a 120-hour ESL Certification*
- Plus, ESL/teaching experience preferred
- You need to be located in the U.S. or Canada.
They also don't require a prior accredited ESL certification, because they actually provide a program to get one for $20.
How you're paid:
You will function as an independent contractor and are responsible for your own taxes.
Earnings can be up to $26/hour.
Magic Ears issues payments for the previous month’s classes around the 10th of the month (i.e., March classes are paid on April 10). Payslips are released by the 3rd of the month. In order to get paid on time, you must sign and submit your payslip by the 8th of the month. Even if your payment is being combined*, you must sign your payslip.
*Payments of $50 or less are combined with the next month’s earnings. Payments from $51-$100 can only be made via PayPal, or else they will be combined with the next month’s earnings.
