1. Courses

Many top bloggers, YouTubers, etc. end up going from a decent middle class income to 6 or 7 figures when they start creating their own courses. You learn from Entrepreneur On Fire and Making Sense of Cents in this regard by checking their income reports before and after they started their own courses.

If you want to host your own course without a website to start, you can try a site like Udemy.

2. Consulting

With consulting, the more you build a reputation, the more you can charge per hour of your time to give advice to others.

You could learn a lot from someone like Neil at NeilPatel.com when it comes to seeing how a successful person uses content and a good contact page to get new clients for his consulting.

3. Done-for-you services

Many online brands have multiple streams of income at varying price points. For example, you might have an ebook for $10, a course for $100, consulting for $100 per hour, and a done-for-you service for $1,000 per month.

A done-for-you service is one of the best high-ticket services you can offer. You just need to have the team to dedicate to it.

4. Freelance

While consulting is more like giving advice and a done-for-you service is a commitment to do something for a brand month-after-month, freelancing is kind of in between.

With freelancing you can get jobs related to writing, engineering prototypes, coding, animation, etc. online without long-term commitments.

You just do a task for someone until completion and then your business with them is done and you either get another project for the same client or move on to the next. Check out sites like UpWork and Fiverr for this kind of work.

5. SaaS

SaaS (Software as a Service) is when you build some kind of automated software that people usually pay monthly or annually to use. These kinds of companies can make hundreds of millions of dollars if they fill a need in the marketplace.

A few examples of this would be GetResponse email marketing software and the Buffer social media management service.

6. Private Ads

If you're going to monetize your content with ads, private ads are usually going to pay more than something like Google Adsense. Private ads are those little commercials in podcasts, Tweets from influencers on behalf of a company, Instagram posts with an influencer using a particular product, etc.

You may have to do some negotiating and you'll definitely need a big, targeted following to get these. If you have a podcast, try Midroll. If you have a YouTube channel, try FameBit.

7. Affiliate Marketing

When it comes to making money online, affiliate marketing is still one of the best options out there and continues to be a top source of revenue for millionaire content creators. Just look at Entrepreneur On Fire and Making Sense of Cents income reports again.

The thing is, you need to sell affiliate products that have good commissions, that you actually like, and that are targeted towards your audience.

Amazon Associates, for instance, doesn't pay much unless you're selling electronics or maybe furniture.

You might be better of looking at products on Clickbank or Googling your favorite products to see if they have their own affiliate programs like Bluehost does.

Also, make sure you have an affiliate disclaimer on each page with links that you earn commissions from like I do in the footer of this page. It's for legal purposes.

8. Apps

If you want to make a ton of money from an online business, learn to make apps with in-app purchases. Think of apps like Candy Crush and Clash of Clans. These are simple, mobile games that are usually free to download, but include all kinds of in-app purchases that are the reason they make so much money.

For app ideas, check out what's working right now on the Top Grossing Android Apps page.

9. Merch

You've probably seen Twitch streamers and YouTubers with big followings sell t-shirts, hoodies, and other branded merchandise online.

This can be a great way to make a lot of money. And, to make it easier, you can use sites like Teespring or Zazzle to sell them without your own website.

They also do the printing, packing, and shipping for you.

10. Etsy Store

If you're pretty artistic, a great online business idea would be to make an Etsy store. Here, you can sell each painting, print, or any other handcrafted good for hundreds or even thousands of dollars a piece.
