In fact, you might want to prioritize the ones that are not nationwide, as long as you are in the correct region, of course.

Another reason it makes sense to apply for jobs specifically in the US is to possibly have better pay.

Many companies that hire worldwide or internationally do so to get more talent for a lower salary because they know that the cost of living is much lower than in the US in many countries.

Cultural alignment

A third reason that might benefit you when it comes to using a US-based job board is the cultural alignment.

Depending on your job or how your company communicates, it can be difficult when you work directly with people in other parts of the world.

It can make it difficult to schedule meetings, agree on a strategy (because people grew up in different cultures and have different beliefs on how things should be done), and communicate with people who may not speak English as fluently as you.
