There lots of remote gigs you can do from many countries around the world that involve helping improve the quality of search results online.

These jobs are called Search Engine Evaluators.

There are actually a few great sites to find these jobs:

Telus Digital

At Telus Digital, they have many different jobs related to search quality.

Like other sites in this post, they hire around the world and without an interview.

There is also no experience or education requirement to apply.

In terms of pay, I've seen listings as low as $14/hour and reviews on Glassdoor saying as high as $62/hour.

There seems to be a wide range in pay that could be affected by demand for the work, what country you live in, etc.

However, I think some people saying they've earned $62/hour with a job like this seems farfetched.

Here is an example of their requirements:

  • Proficiency in both written and verbal English (or native language of your country)
  • Residency in the United States for the past 3 consecutive years (or other country)
  • Ownership and regular use of a smartphone (Android V5 or higher or iPhone running iOS version 14.0 or higher) and a desktop/laptop with internet connection at your expense.
