Customer Service Rep

Home based independent contractor wanted to handle Customer Service for our fast-growing marketing company.

Opportunity:

Provide personalized, phone & email-based customer service for our clients located throughout the US.

Pay:

The starting pay is $20 per hour, paid each week through ACH deposit.

At 90 days, your performance will be reviewed. If you pass the review, you will be raised to $22 per hour.

After 6 full months (180 days) of working with us, we also offer a “book of business” bonus, in which you will receive a small percentage of the monthly payment of each of the clients you manage. Full-time contractors can expect to receive an additional $600-$800+ a month through the “book of business” bonus.

In addition, there are many bonus opportunities at any given time, including commission on upsells (15% of everything sold), contract renewals ($500+ per renewal), and obtaining positive Google Maps reviews from satisfied clients ($100 per review).

Qualifications:

  • You must have your own computer, internet access, phone, and a quiet place to make calls.
  • Experience with RingCentral (call-app) and Zoho (CRM) is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be available part time to provide customer support around 20 hours a week (at first and later to expand your hours over time), between Monday and Friday, from 9:00AM-5:00PM Central Time. Clients are all over the United States (pacific, mountain, central and eastern time zones).
  • Nights and weekends are not required nor anticipated.
  • Must be willing to dedicate time to learning our marketing methods and how they apply to attorneys. Must also learn how attorneys function in various practice areas and what their specific needs are.

Skills:

  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel and Word, using Gmail, sending attachments, navigating to websites, making Google searches. Able to use Google drive as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Onboard new clients (Intake Process)
  • Be the primary account manager for customers and prospects
  • Assist new clients with providing us access to Google Maps and social media platforms

Answering Services Rep

Applicants must reside in the US and be available to work scheduled shifts between the hours of 8 am to 11 pm Eastern Time Monday through Friday.

New hires will start part time at 20 to 25 hours per week with the possibility of moving to full time (35 to 40 hours per week) upon successful completion of training and a 90-day probationary period.

Pay:

$13/hr to start.
$14/hr after a 90-day probationary period and a successful performance review.
$16/hr after 6 months and a successful performance review.

Sales Development Rep

What does a Sales Development Representative do?

Here’s the job in a nutshell:

We’ll give you training about our business, legal marketing, and your role.

We’ll give you a daily list of leads.

We’ll also give you a script that we know works (because we’ve tested it many times), as well as a checklist of criteria to make sure prospects qualify.

Your job is to call the people on this list, build rapport, work through the script, make sure they qualify, and then schedule them for a strategy session with our specialist.

You will NOT be required to close the deal for our marketing solution, and you will NOT have to ask for or collect money. Your job is to make sure the right prospects begin to think about why they would like to work with us and to get them an appointment with our specialist.

Payment and other terms

This position provides a 1099 income, meaning that you will be self-employed and not an employee. You are responsible for speaking to a qualified CPA or accounting professional to ascertain how and when you will pay taxes on your wages.

Daily / Weekly Compensation:
You will be paid a daily compensation of $80 per day ($400 a week), plus $100 per week for attending all manager meetings.

Total base weekly compensation = $500 per week.

Bonuses:

* $50 bonus for each appointment set above 6 in a calendar week (7+)
* $100 bonus if your set is qualified enough to be pitched by our specialists and sent a contract.
* $100 bonus if your appointment results in a paid and closed deal
by the specialist your appointment was routed to.

Payment is made weekly by direct deposit using Bill dot com.
You must email your invoice each Friday by 10pm eastern, and will
typically receive a direct deposit into your bank account within 5-6 business days.

Qualifications

Training and support

We have a formal onboarding program, where you’ll receive call training, an introduction to legal marketing and our company, your scripts, procedures, checklists, everything else you need to get started. We’ll also listen to recordings of some of your calls and provide ongoing coaching in the form of weekly team meetings and continual one-on-one training to help you improve your performance.

Answering Service Customer Service Specialist

Home based independent contractor wanted to handle Customer Service for fast growing marketing company providing Attorney Answering Service (“AAS”) services.

OPPORTUNITY:

Provide personalized, phone & email-based customer service for our clients located throughout the US. Our clients are all attorneys and they avail our “AAS” (where we essentially take over their phones).

On an ongoing basis, you will need to:

  • On-board New clients from start to finish, aid them in getting set up for their service, and work with the client and our technical team to ensure a seamless transition
  • Identify any areas of the service that need to be fixed or improved
  • Act as the liaison between the technical department and the attorney customer for tech and services related issues
  • Detect any trends and patterns you are noticing for troubleshooting issues, common customer complaints and pain points, etc. (this is a new service and we will be relying a lot on you, the CSR, to detect and relay this critical data to us)
  • Attend weekly meetings with the “AAS” team to discuss updates, problems, and ideas pertaining to the service

PAY:

The starting pay is $18 per hour, paid each week through ACH deposit. At 60 days, your performance will be reviewed. If you pass the review, you will be raised to $19 per hour. After 90 days you will have another review, in which you will be raised to $20 per hour.

Your Duties Will Include…

Article Transcript Editing
Edit transcripts of verbal interviews with attorneys on various legal topics. It will be your job to make the text look presentable, personable, and informative enough for a professional website.

  • Transcripts are to be completely revised and edited for sentence structure, grammar, spelling, etc.
  • Transcript sections are to be edited to read as informative, Q&A-style articles. (i.e. To appear as though the content has not originated from a verbal interview.)
  • Transcripts are verbatim. You must be able to use experience and common sense to discern which things should be removed from the final piece. (This includes conversational sentences, “uhs & ums”, and more.)

Transcripts are typically 6-10 pages long (including the title page & table of contents) and take between 1-2 hours to complete.

SEO Writing
SEO writing assignments include various kinds of content for an attorney’s site such as: Homepage Content, Practice Area Pages, and Local Area Pages.

  • Content should be personable, but professional.
  • Content should be SEO-optimized. (We will provide you with relevant keywords to work into the content as needed.)
  • Content should clearly explain the type of law or practice area while informing the reader of relevant information.
  • Content should explain why the firm is the right choice for the consumer and feature a call to action at the end.

SEO Writing assignments are typically requested to be ~700 words in length and take 1 – 1.5 hours to complete.

Team Participation:
While you will work primarily on an individual basis, team participation is a key aspect of any position with Speakeasy. As such, you should be available for:

  • Monthly Writing Team Meetings (audio only)
  • Occasional 1-on-1 Meetings with Senior Editing Staff & Management
  • Team Coaching/Info Sessions (as needed)

Compensation

Your work with Speakeasy is paid on a per-assignment basis. On average, you can expect 4 Transcript Editing assignments and 4 SEO Writing assignments to be sent to you for completion each week. You will be paid through direct deposit weekly after submitting an invoice for your work each Friday.

  • $40 for every transcript assignment of up to 10 pages, and an additional $4 for every page after.
  • SEO writing assignments are paid at an hourly rate.
  • Team meetings, onboarding, etc. are paid at an hourly rate.

AI Usage Policy

Speakeasy is a company that is openly committed to crafting quality, original content for our clients. As such, applicants should be able and willing to limit their use of AI tools to fall within the following guidelines:
