As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for generating quality sales opportunities for our Toast Account Executives. SDRs perform outreach to a mix of prospective restaurants, some of which have interacted with Toast in the past, while others have not, with the goal of getting in touch with restaurant owners to determine if they’d be a good fit to use Toast at their establishment. Daily outreach consists of warm and cold calls, emails, and social media touch points.
After performing as an SDR to get a taste of a multitude of pipeline generation activities, we expect HDRs to specialize into one of our other xDR positions: Account Development Representative (ADRs), Sales Development Representative (SDRs), or Business Development Representative (BDRs). High performing ADRs, SDRs and BDRs have the opportunity to promote into closing roles and become Toast’s future Account Executives.

About this roll* (Responsibilities):
- Complete at least 100 outreach activities dailyÂ
- Host qualification calls to develop an understanding of the prospect’s needs and determine how they can benefit from leveraging Toast’s all in one digital platform
- Schedule meetings for qualified prospects with the appropriate Account Executive
- Learn about and execute on different methods of outreach so you’ll be prepared to step directly into one of our dedicated xDR positions (ADR, BDR, SDR)Â

The estimated Total Targeted Cash compensation range for this role is listed below. Total Targeted Cash for this role consists of a base salary, commission, benefits, and equity (if eligible). This role qualifies for uncapped commissions. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location.
