The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about the impact that social media has on a company brand? Are you passionate about fostering communities and promoting brand engagement? Are you excited about a mission that involves making high-quality pediatric care accessible to everyone? 

If the answer is yes to the above questions, read on! We are looking for a part time 1099 contractor (10-15 hrs a week) to join our marketing team as a community manager. If you are interested, take a look at the job responsibilities and qualifications and apply if you are interested!

Who You Are:

  • You understand niche ways of communicating on different platforms and what is appropriate for Blueberry
  • You are an effective and easy communicator (excellent writing & grammar)
  • You are proficient in utilizing various platforms and software (meta business manager, Hootsuite, google sheets, docs, notion, etc.)
  • You are enthusiastic about our product & mission

What You’ll Do: 

  • Act as Blueberry’s voice across social media (including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Linkedin, Reddit, X, Pinterest)
  • Respond to comments and direct messages on Blueberry’s social media accounts
    • Comments from organic and paid posts
    • Refer the appropriate information to relevant team members
    • Refer inbound to the appropriate answer or solution
    • Work with team to develop approach to unique “crisis” situations 
    • Seek and record answers to new questions we may get in the future
  • Reshare tagged stories and tagged posts
  • Scroll and engage on the platforms!
    • Like and comment on relevant posts daily, making Blueberry a central, trustworthy, and self-aware voice of pediatrics on the internet! 
    • Save and share relevant content for content pillars 
    • Find creators for us to work with that align with our brand and mission
    • Foster an inclusive community for evidence-based pediatric care on the internet!
  • Reflect important themes and information back to the team
    • Use data and your perspective to understand 
  • Update/Create a searchable, running doc of the most common asks
  • Create/automate DM responses
  • Onboard creators to our UGC campaigns and affiliate membership
    • Communicate with influencers and creators via direct message and email and send them relevant information, saving this

Experience You’ll Need:

  • Strong relationship with the internet and an understanding of how people communicate on various platforms
  • Experience engaging on social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, Linkedin, Reddit, X, Pinterest)
  • Ability to organize a consistent flow of inbound information (engagements, creators, DM’s, content, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and grammar 

*Nice To Have:

  • Proficiency in hootesuite and meta business 
  • Content creation background 
  • Previous work in groups and community-building
  • Experience managing a brand’s social community 

*Expected Compensation: $50-60/hour depending on location & experience
