Labcorp is recruiting a Senior Data Scientist for a dynamic team in North Carolina. This position can also potentially be a Remote position.

Summary:

  • To produce innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets.
  • Apply knowledge of statistics, data modeling, data sciences and artificial intelligence to recognize patterns, identify opportunities and make valuable discoveries.
  • Use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models. Generate and test hypotheses. 
  • Interpret data and learn how to present to others the stories they represent through rich and intuitive visualizations. 
  • Learn to develop novel ways of integrating, mining and visualizing diverse, high dimensional and poorly curated data sets.

Responsibilities:

  • Build/pull information out of data warehouses and other systems.
  • Provide/create reporting to show what is happening in the specialty billing space
  • Use in-depth knowledge to understand the data to provide summaries and recommendations for senior leadership regarding revenue cycle management and specialty billing.
  • Build data pools

Education/Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 years of relevant experience in a data science setting
  • At least 2 years of experience in the delivery of analytics solutions in the healthcare or biopharmaceutical industry
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Java/Scala for data processing, ETL development, and automation. 
  • Extensive experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for building and maintaining data models, transformations, and testing workflows
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake including data storage, querying, and performance optimization
  • Expertise in creating actionable dashboards and reports using Looker with a solid understanding of LookML for customized reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience with cloud services like AWS 
  • Familiarity with Git for code management, collaboration, and automated deployments
  • Technical and high-level analytical ability
  • RCM and Specialty Billing knowledge/experience
  • Excellent communication skills

Pay Range: $110,500/yr – $137,000/yr

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

LBP Eligible Position (if applicable): 15%

The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan.  Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
