Do you have experience supporting a community of end users, specifically with loyalty, referral, and engagement programs, both in-person and over social platforms?
Does creating a social presence focused on educating, entertaining, and inspiring our audience excite you?
Are you an edtech and/or former teacher, interested in expanding communities both internally and externally, where we cultivate and nurture both prospects and users?
If “YES!”- then apply.
If “NO!” – then this isn’t the position you’re looking for.
Our users are mostly teacher candidates, and as you can imagine, they are a very tight group. Teachers often have to take a certification exam in order to work in their dream job, and if they fail, they are at risk of losing that opportunity. There’s a lot at stake, so what happens? Teachers build micro-communities across social platforms to support each other. And when the goal is to provide an exceptional education for students, it’s really easy for this group to be passionate. That’s where the Community and Social Media Manager steps in. In addition, our brand direction really starts with the community; we’re rooted into what our prospects / users need.
We’ve set up a number of communities, and these communities are teacher candidates trying to pass their exam. We sell exam prep materials for teachers to pass their exam…so the communities are literally our target market. We just need someone to own, cultivate, and expand these communities to drive attributed leads and revenue.
We also need someone to pull data in regards to what our users want & need, to help guide our brand. This will help guide our top of funnel social strategy (and the greater brand strategy). which this candidate will develop and execute on, with content that fits in their respective platforms. You won’t have any blockers; the strategy is for you to build.
The success of this role is measured by the attributed revenue from communities, word of mouth via social listening and feedback, and positive sentiment of our brand.
