Brands, resources, and examples mentioned:

  • Ebates allows you to get paid to shop online. There are thousands of brands large and small partnered with Ebates that will give you 5%, 10%, 25%, or more in cashback. Use Ebates when you do your normal purchases online.
  • Swagbucks lets you make money watching videos, taking surveys, searching the web, shopping online, etc. You have some of the most options for making money on here. One thing you could do is replace Google with the Swagbucks search feature and make money every time you look up something on the internet.
  • InboxDollars has a similar feel to Swagbucks in that you can make money many different ways. You can get paid to watch videos, surf the web, take surveys, do product trials, and even check your email.
  • Honey a site that makes you money by using an automated coupon system. When you shop online, it will automatically try a bunch of coupon codes to see if any of them work so you can save money. No work is needed on your part.
  • Nielsen Mobile Panel pays you to allow them to collect data about internet usage and apps you use. They ensure that it is 100% secure and Nielsen is one of the bigger data collection companies out there. It just works in the background while you use your device as normal.
  • Adfun can help you make up to around $900 per year in passive income. All you need to do is let up to 5 devices play videos from the app one-after-the-other while you go do other things. Adfun also has prize auctions for all sorts of tech, cars, etc.
  • SavvyConnect can make you an extra $180 or so per year if you allow them to collect data while you use your devices. Like the Nielsen Mobile Panel, it just works in the background.
  • Viggle lets you make money watching all sorts of videos. It's probably best known for allowing you to stream your shows from Netflix, Hulu, etc. while paying you. They also have trivia games that are related to what you watch which give you the chance to earn even more.
  • eBesucher helps you make money by surfing the web on autopilot. You just sign up, open a new tab, and it will do the rest. You don't even need to pay attention to the search results or anything. You can use it on an unlimited number of devices. They also pay you via PayPal.
  • Qmee pays you to add an extension to your search results on sites like Google or Bing that shows their own search results. You get paid when you click the Qmee results, take surveys, or use brand deals. You get paid via PayPal or gift cards.

Bonus: If you'd like to make even more money online, try these free apps:
