I decided that creating an all-in-one page full of all the resources you need to be a successful internet entrepreneur would be extremely helpful for new and even experienced business owners.

As an entrepreneur myself, I have had a lot of trial and error, highs, lows, failures, successes, etc. along my journey and I know there will be a lot more in the future.

I want you to have it easier than I did starting out.

That is one of the main reasons I created Self Made Success is to help you take my experience, as well as the experience of others, and use it to avoid a lot of the failures and uncertainties that come with being an entrepreneur.

For this reason, I'm going to share with you my top 50 resources for internet entrepreneurs to help you build a business the right way.

I will update this over time to make sure you always have the best resources at your disposal without having to spend days researching and going through countless resources before finding the best ones.

Don't forget to bookmark this page so you don't forget anything or miss any updates.

Top Business Resources For Internet Entrepreneurs:

I'm going to group these by what the products or services do for you and what you should use them for to better organize them for you.

Blog Setup

Bluehost: Most of the top bloggers around will tell you Bluehost is definitely one of the top options for web hosting services.

You blog can't function without first being hosted, and when it comes to starting a blog, you can't beat Bluehost. Get Bluehost here for special discount of less than $3 with a free domain.

Hostgator: If you decide for whatever reason that Bluehost isn't for you, then the second best reasonably priced hosting service I recommend is Hostgator.

Hostgator compares very well with Bluehost and may be a better option for you, depending on your needs. Get Hostgator at a very discounted price here.

To compare Bluehost vs Hostgator, read the full comparison here.

WordPress: Wordpress is the #1 blogging platform in the world and is the only one I recommend. No other platform compares to WordPress because of its user-friendliness, countless customization options and of course, it's 100% free.

Godaddy: Of course, to finish setting up the bare essentials of your blog, you are going to need a domain. I recommend you get a .com domain to make your website look more professional and be more memorable for your audience.

Don't make your domain too long and use a name that is easy to remember, but describes your brand well. Prices for .com domains start at $9.99. Of course your domain is free if you sign up with the special Bluehost offer I mentioned.

Optimizepress: Last but not least, to finish your WordPress blog setup completely, you need to pick a good theme. Your theme is the structure and design of your site. Personally, I prefer to use Optimizepress.

Optimizepress is what Self Made Success runs on and I absolutely love it. It's is easy to drag and drop, customize, set up lead capture pages, membership sites, etc.

Studiopress: If you are less concerned about marketing, customization, lead generation, sales conversions, etc. and more concerned about speed and site performance, I recommend you go with any Studiopress theme.

These premium themes are very well built and are some of the absolute best when it comes to speed, performance and SEO.

Autoresponders And Email Services

Getresponse: Getresponse is the email service I use for collecting leads and conducting my email marketing. It's so easy to use, has tons of features and is a very reasonable price.

Try Getresponse for a special discount here.

Aweber: Not a big fan of Getresponse? The only other autoresponder I would use and recommend is Aweber. Although I slightly favor Getresponse over Aweber these days, I definitely had great experiences with Aweber and would recommend them to anyone.

Try out Aweber for a special discount here.

Outsourcing Services

UpWork (Formerly Odesk): This is one of the absolute best places to get tasks outsourced, especially more complicated ones.

UpWork is a site full of freelancers that you can hire to do different jobs for you and you can even build a long term relationship with a Virtual Assistant for regular tasks. You hire a Virtual Assistant for under $3/hour here.

Elance: Elance is a lot like UpWork. You can hire professional freelancers for different tasks here that you need done. UpWork and Elance are two of the top outsourcing services on the web.

Fiverr: Fiverr is a great place to outsource and get smaller tasks done for you. Fiverr is a little more casual than Upwork or Elance because most tasks are done for $5 (hence the name “Fiverr”).

99Designs: If you need professional images, covers, labels, or any other kinds of designs outsourced, 99Designs is the best place to do it.

Here, you create a contest and the designers around the world compete to create the best design for you. Then, you pick the best one. You'll find a lot of quality work here (like the 4 Hour Workweek bestselling book design).

SpeechPad: If you need transcripts done for your videos or podcasts, this is the place to get them done.

Courses

Blogging With John Chow: If you want to learn more about building a successful blog, this is a great course to go through. John Chow (the one who does the course) makes over 7 figures with his blog, so you will learn a lot from him like I have.

K Money MasteryStefan Pylarinos is one of the better Amazon Kindle entrepreneurs I've seen.

In this course, you get to watch him start from scratch, create a quality ebook, publish it on Amazon, market it, get reviews, rank it for keywords and get sales from it.

I learned a ton from K Money Mastery and recommend it to anyone wanting to start an ebook business.

Books

The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich (Expanded and Updated)This book has changed my life.

Tim Ferriss did a great job with this book teaching people how to live the life of their dreams, be more productive, work less and earn more. This is one of the must-have books for entrepreneurs.

Think and Grow Rich: The Landmark Bestseller – Now Revised and Updated for the 21st CenturyThink And Grow Rich is another book that has changed countless lives, especially for entrepreneurs.

The author, Napoleon Hill, devoted decades of his life to studying the most successful people in the world to find out what they have in common, so he could share his research with you.

For instance, if you wanted to use a Studiopress theme, but wanted to use Optimizepress for your marketing pages, you would just use the plugin.

Ninja Popups: I use the Ninja popups WordPress plugin to collect leads for my blogs and create any popups I need.

OptinSkin: Need to embed an opt-in form at the bottom of your blog posts to collect more leads? OptinSkin is the plugin for you.

Flickr Creative Commons: Need images that are free in price and free from copyright? Use Flickr Creative Commons to find images for your marketing.

iStockPhoto: If you need to purchase quality, royalty-free images for your websites, I recommend iStockPhoto.

Videos

Easy Video Suite: This is what I use to make all my videos. Easy Video Suite has a great screen-capture tool that allows you to record your screen during videos and even draw on the screen to highlight, draw or write important things on the video for your viewers.

You can then upload the video to their website where it will be hosted and you can edit the look of the video, add subscription areas, etc. It's one of my favorite video marketing tools. Get it at a special discount here.

Other

SumoMe: AppSumo created SumoMe as an all-in-one tool suite plugin that contains all kinds of great features for helping your grow your blog following and traffic.

Headline Analyzer: CoSchedule created a great tool that I recently discovered that allows you to analyze how likely your blog post headline is to get clicks and go viral. It gives you an overall score of how good your title is and gives you tips on how to improve it.

Copyscape: This is just a useful little tool that allows you to test whether articles are completely original or are likely to raise some red flags with search engines because of plagiarism.

Duplicate content doesn't rank well and plagiarism is illegal, so I recommend you scan pages here to ensure guest posters, your rewritten articles and other pages are original enough.

I’ve been reading about the differences between LeadPages & OptimizePress today- and your blog finally convinced me which was the best choice, at least for now. Eventually, I’ll order LeadPages too!
I signed up through your link. Thanks! 🙂

      • Justin Bryant

Glad I could help, Leslie. I hope you get great results!

      • Justin Bryant

Hey Vivek, I can’t give my number out because I would have way to many people calling me from my website, video channel, etc. But, my videos should cover what you’re looking for and if not, let me know via email or comments what you’d like me to cover.

    • Laurette Champagne

Thanks for your tips here and for being helpful. I was first looking for the passive money apps you mentioned in the last YouTube video such as slidejoy, which is the only one I wrote down from video on that particular subject. Thanks.

    • Laurette Champagne

I was also curious about something. If I start my own YouTube channel, Is my information protected? I plan in writing a book on a trilogy experience through the Amazon venue as you mentioned. If my channel is about my experience before the book is out, can it be stolen by someone else.?

    • Saiful Yusoff

      Hey Justin,

    • Gabriel

HEY im the owner of @funnylels on instagram and im wondering if you could help me out and give me any way i can make money off my instagram>.

    • Joanne

      Hi Justin,

      Great list! Thanks…

First off, I like how you communicate with such clarity! I’m hoping you can help me out a bit more with your wisdom.

I stumbled (no accidents!) across one of your posts comparing website builders, and a video on Youtube about how to get online without a website. I have a question about getting a website up. I have an existing GoDaddy WordPress managed Hosting account. I haven’t built my site on it because I don’t know how and can’t afford to hire a web designer.

I’m starting out – bootstrapping, and recently joined this company called Wealthy Affiliate. WA offers hosting (SiteRubix.com) and unlimited WP websites with templates, and an online entrepreneurship university-type self-directed affiliate marketing training modules and robust community as part of its Premium Membership. I joined thinking it’s what I need. But this self-directed approach to it all is so overwhelming and time consuming that I can’t keep going. I get stuck at the beginning of doing a website in WP!

I know, getting long winded…Here’s the crossroad I’m at: My GD WP hosting account is coming up for renewal, so I’m deciding about weather to stay with WA or go with a Go Daddy WP Hosting (and learn WP on my own or if you can direct me to some resources on this, that would be great!) or should I buy GD’s Website Builder Business Plus v.7 with a drop and drag style builder. Since you reviewed a few on a blog post, I thought you might know about this or help advise me.

No one seems to be able to give me insight or things to consider about which one could be better for my current and long-term needs. I’m a personal development and holistic lifestyle mentor/coach, and learning & development consultant specializing in eLearning. I will be offering group training programs (sell online) and want to blog – and promote products as affiliate marketing.

You seem to be very knowledgable about this stuff..So, would you mind throwing out a few ideas to help me find clarity?
      I truly appreciate this support!

    • Muhammad Maqsood

      Great Effort, Bro
