It is Day 3 of the 3 C's Training Series in marketing and you're going to understand exactly how to capture leads from your traffic online when the video is over. To capture leads effectively, you're going to need a few things and some understanding on how an effective marketing funnel works.

Things You'll Need To Get Leads Effectively:

  • Sales or Introduction Video/Content
  • Sales Page
  • An emailing and lead organizing service

How Do These All Fit Together?

You're going to need every single one of these things to successfully capture leads to later convert them to sales. Your funnel starts with a capture page, then you have sales or introduction video, and then a button or link to the sales page.

Source Of Traffic

Obviously to get leads, you must first have traffic. Whether you get it through paid advertising, blogging, videos, social media or another way, you can't capture leads without some kind of traffic unless it is through people you already know. You must have a link connected to all of your traffic sources that leads to some kind of capture page to collect an email address to follow up with them and build a relationship.

Capture Pages

You don't want to just have one capture page, you want to have multiple pages. People will get sick of seeing the same capture pages over and over, so you need to have many high converting capture pages for your lead generation. Making your own capture pages can be time consuming, as well as frustrating process though. That's why I recommend joining a network that has some already made that you can use for your own business.

Sales Or Introduction Video/Content

When your prospect enters in their email into your capture page, you must continue the funnel by sending them to a sales or introduction page with some kind of content (preferably a video) to introduce the products, services, or company to the lead. Don't make it too long and make sure you get the point, capture their attention, relate to them and then give them a strong call to action, sending them to the sales page. Explain why your product or service is what they need.

Sales Page 

The sales page needs to look professional, not be too pitchy and let them know exactly what all is included with what you want them to buy. Give them a place to enter their billing information and make sure you are prepared if any problems arise with the transaction.

Tracking Resources

You can use resources such as Hyper Tracker and an excel spreadsheet to do most of the tracking and statistics you need. Tracking is essential to see what capture pages convert the best, so that you get the highest conversion rate possible for your business.

Most ads, such as PPC ads track the amount of impressions and clicks you receive. Otherwise you can use Hyper Tracker to track all clicks of each link. Then use the spreadsheet to enter in the number of clicks and then the number of leads gotten from those clicks. Then use a spreadsheet function to determine the percentage of clicks that become leads for each given link. Compare them all and that will tell you which capture pages perform better and should be used the most.

Email And Lead Organizing Service

The two services I would recommend the most for this is Aweber and GVO. GVO is much easier to set up, cheaper and reliable. Aweber is more advanced, just as reliable and has a lot more features. If you are new to email marketing and capturing leads, you should probably use GVO. If you are a seasoned marketer and need the extra tools that come with Aweber, then get that.

The service is specifically for collecting leads and giving you the ability to email them all at one time live or through an autoresponder that sends out automatic messages. This way you can see all your leads and manage them in one place. You can also build a relationship, give them offers and have a much higher percentage of buyers than if they were just deciding to buy right then or not. Many people take time to buy and you must collect their contact info or they will forget about you and move on.
